Top of the search results
Promoted listings appear at the top of the listings page in default sort, rotating fairly among themselves so every promoted listing shares the front. Each carries a featured badge — buyers see it is promoted; we do not disguise placement as relevance.
Always visible on the map
On the map, free listings collapse into numbered clusters when buyers zoom out. Promoted listings do not: your listing stays on the map as a full price pin at every zoom level, from street view all the way out to the whole tri-state view. When a buyer opens the map of Brooklyn, promoted listings are the ones they see first.
How to promote a listing
From your dashboard, press Promote next to any active listing. You can also add promotion during listing creation — in that case your card is only authorized, and is not charged until the listing is approved and live. Promotion runs week to week with no auto-renewal surprises.
One honest note: promotion makes a listing seen, not loved. It multiplies the traffic to your listing — strong photos and a fair price are what convert that traffic into messages. Start with photos and pricing, then promote.
